Infant Jesus English Medium School celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2015 with great enthusiasm. The students, staff, parents and the local community were gathered and participated in this great occasion.
The celebration commenced....
at 9.10 am in the morning at School Ground by invoking Almighty's Blessings. Mrs. Gracy, the Staff welcomed the Guests and gathering. The chief Guest for the day was Mr. Dinesh Kodange, the PTA President. The tricolor National Flag was unfurled by the chief guest along with Mr. Harshad Vorkady, the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Gean Lavina Monteiro, Vice President of Parish Council, Manjeshwar, Rev. Fr. Valerian Lewis, the Manager and Mr. Ivan Crasta, The Headmaster.
The Students took a parade according to their respective houses along with the Band Group. The Chief Guests's speech enlightened the gathering. The dignitaries on the dias addresssed the gathering with their valuable messages.
The celebration then sported some entertainment program which included a choir performance by STD X girls, speech by Shreya of STD II and two grandeur dances by LP, UP and High School Students. The prize winners of the competitions which was held on account of Environment Day and Independence Day were awarded.
The programme culminated with the Vote Of Thanks by Sr. Jaquine, the staff, thus filling us with Patriotic Fervor, Followed by National Anthem. Sweets were distributed to everyone which was donated by the PTA Committee.
